Downsizing

Hey!
I know I don't post here often, I coudn't find too much time to spare lately between my job and this project, but it's no excuse...
About the project, yes, I'm still on it, spending every free minute I have in it and soon I expect to bring some really great news about it.
One problem I'm having now is, the Amiga hardware is very limited, I know, shocking... :)
I reached some limitations, mostly chip memory and blitter speed, those hard limits could be easily overcome if I simply aimed at really high end Amigas, the type you can only have by using an Emulator but it would make the whole purpose of this project pointless, better make it on some modern Game Engine for modern platforms, but I'll stick to the Amiga.
One thing that really saddens me is that I'll have to downscale my artwork, make everything small so it fits my target platform, A1200 + fast ram.
But it's really no easy task, since I made a lot of enemies already...
I guess I'll keep those designs and use them sparingly as mid level bosses, for example.
Anyway, the Player model is the main culprit here and there' no way I can keep it this big, I did a modification to its size that fits, but a lot is lost in the translation...
anyway...

Whatever you want to do is what you should do. Personally Ive always felt that game devs should aim more at 030 based systems with some Fast RAM
Hi!
Thanks for your reply!
The problem I'm having, however ism chip memory and blitter speed, Those are, apparently hard limits, specially memory...
But I'll keep those bigger mechas and use then, more sparingly.
Yeah, those I don't think you can get around unfortunately. Either way, good luck!
