Nice graphics and music. Too bad the latest version didn't quite make it into the January video, but we'll play it later. I also added it to my new "Gameplay of New Amiga Games from January 2025" video with other recently released games. I hope you enjoy the video.
Very nice preview. I tested it under WinUAE on my custom Workbench. I had to pack it in WHDLoad WB 3.1 and disable JIT otherwise the graphics appeared corrupted. With an A1200 020 14MHz emulated CPU the game run very smoothly and it's very playable. Note that it's not possible to shoot with the joypad, you need to use the keyboard to fire. Jump works with joypad though. Look very promising so I subrscribed to your page to follow the development. :)
I'm still trying to figure out how controls work on Scorpion Engine, but thanks for the feedback...
About WinUAE, I don't really know how accurate is the emulation, but, since it's around for three decades I think we can trust this results.
What I noticed is that just adding some fast ram to the stock A1200 it performs MUCH BETTER, so I'm aiming to this toi be the minimum requirements, stock A1200 with fast ram
The final game also won't have as many enemies on screen as the demo, 2 or 3 tops make much more sense, even for gameplay.
Congratulations on your superb project. Finally a Run 'n Gun with a real mecha! The graphics are very well done. Do you already have a composer to do the music for this game?
Looks like its going to be fun (big stompy mech fan). if you are up for a couple of things that could take it to the next level I have suggestions 1, When walking up a ramp change the shooting to follow that angle until the guns shooting level reaches the top of the ramp (I know lots of games don't do that, but it has always bothered me as to why you would shoot the ramp because you can't shoot anything else) 2, Addition of a melee weapon (sword?) when in range automatically switch to a physical weapon (I think it would look cool) maybe even chop the enemy in half. Anyway, looking forward to a more complete game.
That's cool, Will you be utilizing multiple joystick/pad buttons maybe even the CD32 controller? I see you are not accepting donations yet, will you be doing so at a later update (I don't have much but I'm all for throwing a few bucks in) Looking forward to updates.
Thanks, try adding some fast ram (if you are using it in an emulator), it's not very optimized right now, but it improves a lot having some additional memory.

In the new demo, after our character dies, the game crashes....
Sorry, just fixed it...
I didn't upload an ADF file because it no longer fits a floppy, will provide an HDF next time.
Works! Nice!
Thanks for putting a version on for the mini.
It would also look really cool on the Mega Drive. If you need any help, if you want to try it, you can find me on Discord.
Hello, RayCastello
Yes, that would be really great, to have it working on megadrive/32X and even Neo Geo.
I just wanted to finish and perfect the player controller and basic enemy behavior
We can talk aftar that
Thanks for now
It'll be cool. Discord: raycastello#7756
nice
Looks great (Video Preview will follow later). The music was apparently "borrowed" from Turrican 2. 😉

I'm currently trying to implement a shield to the Mech, but melee weapons are something I really want to have in the future.

Great game, thank you.
